By Apostle Joseph Hobbs, Th.D.
1 Cor 15:3-4

1 Cor 15:3-4

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according ot the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: (KJV)

"When the great Christian and scientist Sir Michael Faraday was dying, some journalist questioned him as to his speculations for a life after death. 'Speculations!' said he, 'I know nothing of speculations. I am resting on certainties. I know that my Redeemer liveth,' and because He lives, I shall live also,'" - Gospel Trumpet

Greetings! Happy Resurrection Sunday to each of you. Today is celebrated one of the most important days of the Christian calendar, it is the day that God's Christ arose from the dead. This single event in history separates us for all of the world's religions. The fact is that our Savior is not dead but is very much alive. In fact we rejoice in that he is laboring on our behalf making as our heavenly intercessor.

The resurrection of Christ is a fulfillment to a prophecy. The Messiah as the Jews referred to the Christ, must die for the sins of the world and be raised from the dead to make it possible the humanity could be restored back to right relationship with the Father. If Christ had not risen from the dead not only would we still be lost and in our sins, we would be without hope in this world. We rejoice today in the certainty of eternal life, because Christ fulfilled the Word of God completely and fully. The assurance that we have eternal life is wrapped up in Christ's fulfillment of the Scriptures. You and I don't have to wonder or worry about our eternal destiny because the resurrection of Christ gives us blessed assurance.

While we celebrate what Christ has done and has granted to believers everywhere, we must do as the women at the empty tomb and evangelize the world that they to might be saved. The empty tomb is proof positive that we will someday be raised to life eternal and abundant. Because He lives, I wi11live also, Hallelujah!
