Green, Sis. Candice, Greeter's Ministry
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13)
Sis. Candice Green, is an only child born to Lynn Green and Byron Carson. She accepted Christ at a young age while attending her grandparents church (Northwestern Community in Detroit, MI) which ignited her passion to sing. As a teen-ager, she was baptized at Wings of Love MBC (Detroit, MI), under the leadership of Rev. Alvin E. Jackson where she was very active in the youth choir. While attending Grand Valley State University (near Grand Rapids, MI), she joined the GVSU Gospel choir, as well as joined the Prince of Peace MBC (Grand Rapids, MI), under the leadership of Rev. Bruce Garmon where she sung in the choir and served as a Trustee.
Sis. Green has always enjoyed "working in the vineyard," but when she returned home in 2000, the search began for a new church home. She thanks God for directing her cousin (Regina Green-Hillman) to invite her to a service at Eastern Star MBC. After attending a few Sunday services (it was too good not to join), she become a member in March 2001. Since then, she have been a "laborer" in the following:
- Food Ministry
- Armour Bearer
- Youth Ministry
- Women’s Ministry
- Adult Choir
- Sunday School Ministry
