How can you be SAVED?

Why do I need to be saved?

Because we were all sinners. Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Eternal death is separation from God. Hebrews 9:27 - "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."

How does God say I can be saved?

The first thing that must be done is to repent of your sins. Then you must confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life. "...but now commandeth all men every where to repent" (Acts 17:30).

God is holy and God is love. His holiness demands that our sin be punished in full. His love provides a way for us to be saved from this punishment. Jesus, became our substitute and volunteered to die on our behalf to pay for sin to the fullest.

John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Acts 16:30-31 - "And brought them out, and said, 'Sirs, what must I do to be saved?' And they said, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

Romans 10:8-11, 13 - "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Prayer

God, I know that I am a sinner. I ask you to forgive me of my sins and transgressions against you. I believe with my heart that Jesus Christ died on the cross as my substitute for sins. I believe that he died, was buried, and arose again on the third day morning with all power, in his hands. I thank you for the forgiveness of sins, the gift of eternal salvation and everlasting life, through Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen
